To install Windows on an MSI computer, you will need to follow these steps:
- Obtain a Windows installation media: You can obtain a Windows installation media either by purchasing a copy of Windows on a DVD or USB drive or by downloading the installation files from Microsoft’s website.
- Insert the installation media: Insert the installation media into your MSI computer’s DVD drive or USB port.
- Boot from the installation media: Restart your MSI computer and enter the BIOS settings. Look for the boot options and set the first boot device to the installation media. Save and exit the BIOS settings.
- Start the installation: Windows setup will begin automatically. Follow the on-screen instructions to select your language, time and currency format, and keyboard layout. Then click “Install Now.”
- Enter the product key: Enter the product key when prompted. This key should have been included with your purchase of Windows.
- Choose the type of installation: Choose either “Upgrade” to keep your files, settings, and applications or “Custom” to perform a clean install.
- Select the partition: If you choose a custom install, select the partition where you want to install Windows.
- Wait for the installation to complete: The installation process may take some time to complete. Your MSI computer may restart several times during the installation process.
- Set up Windows: Once the installation is complete, follow the on-screen instructions to set up Windows. You will be prompted to create a user account, choose your settings, and connect to a network.
- Install drivers and software: After setting up Windows, install any necessary drivers and software for your MSI computer. You can find these on the MSI website or on the included driver CD.
